Now that the conservative right is losing battle after battle concerning marriage equality, it's funny to see how their 'articles' are getting more and more ridiculous by the day. Hate group the American Family Association is always to be counted upon, but this time, it's not their house resident nutjob Bryan Fischer who did the job.

In fact, through their 'news' website One"News"Now, they've this time given a relatively unknown new 'writer', named James L. Lambert, a platform to spit his hate from. The end result is of course the same, another lunatic ranting on and on about what's inevitable: gays and lesbians will eventually have equal rights in the United States.

Through her Twitter account, Lady Gaga has revealed some details about the stage setup for her upcoming Born This Way Ball Tour. The area enclosed by the catwalk was described by Gaga as "The Monster Pit".

The Monster Pit is General Admission only, and Little Monsters unlock it when they arrive to the arena or stadium. Entry to The Monster Pit is relegated to the fans who have arrived first, waited all night, dressed to 'Ball.' Every night Haus of Gaga will choose fans from The Monster Pit to come back stage and meet me! These tickets are not more expensive. No dress code requirement. Born This Way means anything goes.

Obviously the movie couldn't be made without Renee Zellweger, but it has now been announced Colin Firth is also set to return as Mark Darcy, while Hugh Grant will play suave troublemaker Daniel Cleaver - despite telling BBC News in 2009 that he had no plans to act in another film in the Jones franchise.

An extra show in Berlin has been added to the European leg of the Madonna World Tour.

The new concert takes place on June 30. Ticket go on general public sale on February 17 at 9 AM - please check Madonna.com for the Icon dedicated pre-sale.

Whitney Houston did not drown but died of a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol, US reports said today. Her family is understood to have been told by coroners that she may well have been dead before slipping underwater in her bath, according to showbiz website TMZ.
Whitney, 48, was said to have been found in the tub at her hotel by her aunt Mary Jones, who tried in vain to revive her. Half a dozen bottles of prescription drugs like those used by Michael Jackson were found in her suite in Beverly Hills. There were also reports that there was not enough water in her lungs to have drowned her.

The fresh reports came after pictures showed the star looking wasted during a two-night booze binge before her shocking death. It was also revealed a film crew waiting to interview the fallen superstar at her hotel were told: "She's not coming... she's dead." Ironically, the VH1 pop channel team were waiting to talk to Whitney about "getting back on track" following her dark spiral into addiction.

Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48. Whitney's publicist made the announcement in the early hours of this morning. The cause of her death is still unclear.

Police have confirmed the star was found on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. US website TMZ has reported that Whitney and a group of friends "partied heavily" in the hotel bar last night. Further unconfirmed reports claim her body was found in her hotel bath by a member of her entourage. The tragic news comes just hours before she was due to perform at a pre-Grammy party held by her mentor and friend, record producer Clive Davis.

Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown was reported to be "in and out of crying fits" after hearing the news. Bobby, 43, broke down in tears before taking to the stage with his band New Edition last night, a US website reported. The emotional singer shouted "I love you Whitney" and blew kisses to the sky during the concert, in Mississippi, US.

In a recent interview with the conservative magazine Le Figaro, French president Sarkozy reaffirmed his conservative stances on a variety of social and economic issues. In contrast to his principal opponent in the upcoming presidential elections, socialist François Hollande, Sarkozy told Le Figaro that he is “not favorable” to homosexual “marriage,” because it “opens the door to adoption.”

“In troubled times, when our society needs to keep its bearings, I don’t think that it is necessary to blur the image of this essential social institution that is marriage,” said Sarkozy.

Although Sarkozy said that he supports strengthening certain legal rights for gays and lesbians, including inheritance rights, he opposes the creation of “civil unions” because the would “tend to harm the institution of marriage. I know that there exists, in fact, particular situations with men and with women who assume their parental roles perfectly. But they do not lead me to think that it is necessary to inscribe in law a new definition of family,” he said.

Joe Francis the soft-porn entrepreneur, sent a cease-and-desist letter to Madonna, threatening to sue if she plays the song “Girls Gone Wild,” from her new album, during her halftime performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, TMZ reported.

“This isn’t personally directed at Madonna as a person, this is a business decision. And now she’s aware that she stepped over the line,” Francis’ lawyer David R. Houston told the Daily News. “If Mr. Francis was producing a product called ‘Material Girl,’ and she had a copyright, I doubt she’d appreciate it.”

He said he and Joe Francis became aware of the song in the last 24 hours after iTunes started accepting preorders. He said Francis has a federal trademark for the phrase. “I agree ‘Girls Gone Wild’ is part of the lexicon and people use it quite a bit, but when it’s used for commercial profit, it’s important for us to protect ‘Girls Gone Wild’ as the brand he’s spent decades developing,” Houston said. They haven’t heard anything back from the letter

Madonna told reporters this week that she plans on playing “three old songs and one new song” during the halftime show. Francis’ lawyer said through his “research” he determined it was the “Girls Gone Wild” single. “Your attempt to ‘free ride’ on the valuable consumer goodwill and brand recognition of my clients’ trademark constitutes ... unfair competition, and false designation of origin, trademark infringement, and trademark dilution,” Houston continued.

He offered to avoid “costly litigation” if Madonna agrees to pay for a licensing agreement, Francis’ attorney fees — and not perform or market the song at the Super Bowl. A post on the Girls Gone Wild twitter account linked to the TMZ story and added “Don’t you DARE sing that!!!”

A rep for Madonna told the Daily News that the pop star "won't be singing that song at the Superbowl."

A bill to legalize gay marriage has passed the Washington state Senate, paving the way for passage in the House of Representatives as early as next week. SB 6239 passed the upper chamber 28-21 on Wednesday night, days after gaining the approval of a Senate committee on a party-line vote. In the full vote, four Republicans crossed party lines to support the bill, while three Democrats voted against.

The measure is expected to pass the House, and has already won the support of Democrat governor Christine Gregoire, making it likely that Washington will soon become the sixth state to recognize the new definition of marriage.

Earlier last month, Gregoire, now in her final year in office after choosing not to run for a third term, announced that she would introduce the bill after several years of opposing the marriage redefinition.
“I’m sorry that it took me as long as it did. But it’s genuine. It’s not about politics. It’s very heartfelt. It’s about my Catholic faith and I have struggled with it,” she said.

Hate group OneMillionMoms is challenging J.C. Penney's effort to reshape its identity. The retailer is pinning its hopes in part on an ad campaign that features high-profile lesbian entertainer Ellen DeGeneres. .C. Penney Co. has hired open lesbian Ellen DeGeneres as its spokesperson. The comedian and talk-show host is slated to appear in five commercials in an ad campaign starting this spring. Ron Johnson, new CEO at J.C. Penney, explained to The Associated Press why his company is going with DeGeneres.

"I think Ellen is someone we all trust," he said. "She's lovable, likable, honest and funny -- but at her soul, we trust her."

JCP's president went a step further. "We share the same fundamental values as Ellen ... [W]e couldn't think of a better partner to help us put the fun back into the retail experience," stated Michael Francis.

But Monica Cole, director of hate group American Family Association's advocacy group OneMillionMoms.com, tells OneNewsNow the campaign might backfire since only an estimated 1.7 percent of the population is homosexual.

"Yes, DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store," says Cole. "And they're going to be gaining a very small percentage of liberal customers. This will not satisfy or offset their loss in sales. They will be losing more than they'll be gaining."

Jaws still lives

For those of you who are (like me) sad the Jaws ride at Universal Studios Orlando has closed forever a month ago, you might be happy to know you can still ride it at Universal Studios Japan. The video above shows the ride as it happens near Tokyo, and although it's, as far as the ride itself goes, completely the same as the ride in Orlando, the Japanese just doesn't really fit in a ride supposed to take place in the New York area of the United States. Also, in some places, you can see the tracks hiding beneath the surface. I'm sure that's not supposed to be visible to the audience.

Still, it's a great ride! And most of all, it just made me want to watch the original Jaws movie again!

We had a great time, and just the other week one of my friends send me this great picture of myself in a teacup, riding the Mad Tea Party.
